Construction Techniques

Traditional methods are used to assemble the frames, either lugged or fillet brazed.

Fillet Brazing

Master craftsman Jim Cook MAWTE MCEI pictured demonstrating the fillet brazing process.

This is a different technique to the capillary method of brazing, used when making a lugged frame, and allows custom angles to be created, and thus the ability to build a true custom frame.

Flux

Fillet brazing the top tube to the head tube joint, note flux preparation around the down tube joint. “Cleanliness is next to Godliness” is the phrase here. All tubes must be free of burrs, and thoroughly degreased, inside and out, before the application of the flux.

Those nice curves are there for a reason.
